July 30, 2010
LAZARUS A.D. wants YOU to make their next music video! “Blow Up Our Video” contest has been launched in association with ESP guitars and Metal Blade Records
Video for “LAST BREATH” to be made by fans
Lazarus A.D. is currently in the studio and Belle City Sound in Racine, WI recording their follow up to The Onslaught. While recording their newest material, the band and Metal Blade Records have launched a contest where fans can create the music video for one of the band’s oldest songs, Last Breath. This song was featured on the band’s original 3 song demo and was written when all of the guys were still in high school.
Bassist/vocalist Jeff Paulick comments: “We are so stoked for this contest. “Last Breath” has been a fan favorite since the get go back in ’05, and we never got a chance to make the video! We can’t wait to see what fans submit, no matter how awesome or ridiculous it may be! We hooked up with ESP for an awesome grand prize, and I think it’s a killer concept for the fans. Good luck to all who enter.”
There will be three winners: First place receives an ESP LTD MH-103QM STB guitar signed by the band, as well as a t-shirt and a copy of the upcoming new album. Second place receives a custom designed Lazarus A.D. drumhead, a t-shirt and a copy of the upcoming new album. Third place receives a t-shirt and a copy of the upcoming new album. To view all of the contest details, terms and to enter, head to: http://www.metalblade.com/lazarusad

Lazarus A.D. debut new video for “Absolute Power”! Tour with Kreator and Voivod!
February 26, 2010
Wisconsin’s champions of thrash, Lazarus A.D., have unleashed their new video for the track Absolute Power from their critically acclaimed debut album, The Onslaught. The video, like their other two, was directed by Jason Meudt and Emmet Austin of Vision 4 Films. The video features a brutal underground streetfight; if you’re a fan of metal and/or the movie Kickboxer, you’ll dig this video!
Jeff Paulick: “Yeah it was cold when we shot this video. But the bright side was we had plenty of beer, weed and good friends around to help make it a good time. The guys at Vision4Films always take care of us and I think this video is our best yet. I hope everyone enjoys watching the behind the scenes footage. We can’t wait to see everyone on the upcoming Kreator tour. We hope you guys tear the fucking roof of the place during our set.”
Fans can watch the new video for Absolute Power as well as the “making of” segments parts 1 and 2 on the band’s youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/lazarusadband.

Dan Gapen: “We just shot the new video for our next single “Absolute Power” I would say it was fun but to be honest it was cold, windy and rainy the day of the shoot and I froze my ass off. All I have to say is this fucking video better come out sweet or I’m kicking the directors ass…haha! I think when it’s done everyone will like how it turned out. Jason & Emmitt from Vision4Films are pros at what they do, we can’t say thank you enough. We look forward to seeing everyone on the upcoming Spring tour w/ Kreator and Voivod!”

Lazarus A.D.’s Jeff Paulick checks in from the road!
November 13, 2009
“What’s good dwellers of the Lazarus legion?!? Giving you a quick update from the road on our last-second venture with Ensiferum and Blackguard. Shit has been pretty awesome thus far. We left late Friday night, after the guys went and saw Job for a Cowboy, Gwar, and LoG in our hometown, the show was pretty fucking sick, headed off to Allentown, PA where the infamous Croc Rock pizza awaited…it wasn’t so hot haha! We really had no idea what to expect as this tour as it’s a little bit different genre-wise. It’s been hit or miss, but for the most part I think it’s getting through. Hopefully Peter and Alexi can get into the country asap so Hypocrisy can start tearing it up every night as well! The second night we played at Volume 11 in Raleigh, NC…and we have a little history there. As our previous three visits we laid a goose egg on merch every time, this time through, we finally got some good merch sales and had some very generous friends smoke us out, which meant our perception of Volume 11 did a huge 180! We grilled out that night with the guys from Blackguard (totally awesome brothers and an amazing band, definitely check them out!) shared a bottle of Jay-mo and woke to the sound of angry businessmen telling us to move our vehicle from their parking lot. We obviously denied the mess of beer cans strewn about the outside of the bus haha, but hey, I didn’t know anything about that!! After Atlanta we drove straight to Jacksonville, FL where some friends of ours reside, just dodging Ida on the way, very lucky there, our bus and trailer don’t mix with tropical storms. Our show was cancelled in Ft. Lauderdale which totally blew cuz we all were really looking forward to heading to the beach down south. SO, we made up for it and spent the day at Universal Studios, and needless to say, it was fucking awesome. Most of us had never been there before and it’s easily one of the most fun parks I’ve ever been to. It was a pretty cloudy day so NOBODY was there; we went on everything multiple times through. We shared some drinks and lunch at the Hard Rock (we saw Dime’s Crown Royal Guitar and Vinnie’s full Pearl set used at the show where Dime was shot, pretty intense shit). Met up with the guys from Blackguard and hit some coasters with them. We grabbed a hotel and passed the fuck out as I had been up for 36 hours straight ensuring we could make this awesome day happen in time. Last night was Orlando, FUCK downtown Orlando parking. We had to park a mile away after we unloaded, after we played had to come back again, and then there was some confusion with payment as we were playing this Anti Pop festival, which had a million shows going on, the city was fucking packed, so we sat double parked on a one way street in front of the venue until payment was received haha…and it was. Long drive ahead to Texas and then to CALI!! Can’t fucking wait, I’ll be throwing some more updates at ya next week, until then spread the word that we are on “The Tour from Afar” with Ensiferum, Hypocrisy, and Blackguard, then hopping on with Vader and Warbringer for a couple weeks, see all you fucks on the road!!! Oh and there’s a video coming soon of what we do most while on the road…COD…constantly haha! Light em up and drink em down!”

Lazarus A.D. has jumped on board for the upcoming Ensiferum tour! This is their first tour in the US since their trip to Japan to play Loud Park and will be followed by even more dates with Polish death metal legends, Vader!
Vocalist/bassist Jeff Paulick adds, “when the call came in about jumping on the Ensiferum tour. We set everything aside and rallied the troops. As you all know we have been home few months with our thumb up our asses (except for that little trip to Japan!), ever since Dan broke his hand. This is going to be a great tour an it’s hitting cities we have played in the past and new cities we have yet to play. We are looking forward seeing old can’t friends and making new friends. So you better break out the weed & beer – Lazarus A.D. is back on the mother f*$&^@# road.”
The Onslaught is out NOW and Lazarus A.D. is not a band to miss on tour! You can see their live video for Revolution right now on youtube.com/MetalBladeRecords.

BISON B.C. and LAZARUS AD team up for Baptized in Beer US/Canadian tour!
June 13, 2009
Bison b.c. comments; “we can’t wait to crawl back into the blue bitch and drive from town to town melting faces and damaging livers – so lock up yer liquor cabinets, we will see you in the future” Jeff Paulick of Lazarus AD ads; “we are really looking forward to going back to Canada; we had a blast last time and the crowds where sick as fuck. We also look forward to getting a chance to play some cities we missed on the last couple of tours in the US and can’t wait to party with the guys from Bison b.c. and Woe of Tyrants…a tour like this is going to be one big party” MetalSucks.net & MetalInjection.net presents Baptized in Beer Tour 2009 Bison b.c. “…technical ecstasy that is equally retro and forward-thinking…recalls Iron Maiden in scale and structure…one hell of an album.” Metal Edge Magazine “powerful and dignified…they dare to approach the maniacal majesty of present-day High on Fire.” Decibel Magazine 8/10 “…Bison b.c. captures the feedback drenched crunch of the very best stoner metal.” Outburn Magazine 8/10 “Heavy, man. Real heavy. Jean-jacket heavy…If Mastodon had spent more time listening to Anthrax, they might sound like Vancouver’s Bison B.C.” Rollingstone.com “They will crush the world.” Exclaim! Lazarus AD “Get ready for some friggin ridiculous thrash from Wisconsin! Not bay area thrash, think Master of Puppets era Metallica thrash.” Hails & Horns “…the way it combines rapid-fire riffage, abrupt rhythm changes and cutting guitar harmonies within double bass drumming is worthy of praise.” Guitar World from ‘The Next Metallica?’ article “Every song on here is a potential future classic…but more impressive is the extraordinary musicianship on display…to imagine what this band is capable of is scary.” Fangoria.com “This one hits so hard it hurts…In two words, ‘damn good’.” Blabbermouth.net “The Onslaught is probably better than the last couple Exodus albums.
